Fire & Rescue Services Dept Holds Khatam Al-Quran

Bandar Seri Begawan - In conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan Fire and Rescue Service Department held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday to mark the completion of "Tadarus Al-Quran" at the Surau Headquarters of Fire and Rescue Service Department at the Old Airport.

This religious event is an annual activity organised by the Department and present at the ceremony yesterday was guest of honour Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Yussof bin Hj Ismail, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs.

Also present were Senior Officers, Director and Acting Director Fire and Rescue Services Department. The event commenced with the recitation of Khatam Al-Quran and Tahlil Arwah and later the breaking of the fast was followed by mass Maghrib prayers.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
