Foreigner Remanded On Theft Charges

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 38 year-old foreigner was remanded for two weeks pending investigations into a case of attempted theft.

No plea was taken from the defendant. He had attempted to steal electric cables belonging to Auto Engineering Sdn Bhd at the vicinity of Dewan Majlis Project in Jalan Kebangsaan on October 21, according to the charge prepared by Prosecuting Officer Hjh Najwa Hj Abdul Majid.

The defendant will be produced again before the courts for further mention of the case on November 4.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
