Sekolah Rendah Dato Basir Holds Khatam Al-Quran

Bandar Seri Begawan - A khatam al-Quran was held at the multipurpose hall of Sekolah Rendah Dato Basir, Lambak Kanan, Brunei II on Thursday morning.

Some 100 students and staff members of the school took part in the religious ceremony. Also present was the headmistress of the school, Cikgu Hjh Sarimah binti Hj Awang Bakir.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of donations to 1l orphans who are students of the school. To ease the burden of their families, each of the orphans was given around 100 dollars. The donation came from teachers and staff members of the school. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
