Donations Pour In For Kg Rimba's Orphans

Bandar Seri Begawan - Donations were presented to 51 orphans from areas 1,2,3 and 5 of National Housing Scheme (NHS) Kg Rimba at the residence of the village head of NHS Kg Rimba Area 2, where a Khatam al-Quran ceremony was held yesterday.

The event was organised by the village council ofNHS Kg RimbaArea 2, Mukim

Gadong A. The money for the orphans came from individual donors, school teachers, a charity walkathon as well as proceeds from Ramadhan stalls at Kg Rimba.

The donations were handed over to the children by the guest of honour, Hj Jamain bin Momin, the Assistant Brunei-Muara District Officer. Also present at the event was Awang Mohamad bin Hj Kabon, the village head of NHS Kg Rimba Area 2. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
