Indonesian Embassy To Hold Aidilfitri Prayers

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia will conduct the annual mass prayers to mark Hari Raya Aidilfitri on I Syawal 1427 H.

A press release from the embassy stated that the exact date depends on the decision of the Islamic Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam. All Indonesian community members residing in the Sultanate are cordially invited to attend the prayers.

Mass prayers will commence at 7 am at the compound of the embassy, located at Simpang 528, Kg Sungai Hanching ih Jalan Muara. The prayers will be led by Ustadz Hj Khairul Manan bin Hawafi, an Indonesian who works at Institut Tahfiz Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

Later, a religious sermon will be delivered by Ustadz Hj Abdul Rosyad Syuhudi, MA, a senior lecturer from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Meanwhile, on the eve of Aidilfitri, a mass takbir recital will be held at the same venue starling 8 pm.
