Education Minister On Working Visit To Schools

Bandar Seri Begawan - Minister of Education Pehin Dato Awang Haji Abdul Rahman yesterday made a working visit to SRAmar Pahlawan and SRAnggrek Desa.

The minister was accompanied by Deputy Education Minister Pengiran Dato Dr Haji Mohammad, the permanent secretary of education, deputy permanent secretaries, directors and senior officers at the ministry.

The visit was to allow the minister a first-hand look at the efforts made by the schools to raise the quality of teaching, and also to discuss the issues and challenges they face.

At SR Rendah Amar Pahlawan, Principal Hjh Norsian binti Hj Salleh and senior teachers briefed the minister on the background of the school and its future plans.

The minister advised the school authorities to continue to adopt creative teaching techniques to capture the interest of the students.

Later, on behalf of the school, the minister presented donations to two siblings whose family home was gutted by fire on October 9.

A visit was then made to SR Anggrek Desa, where the minister was received by Principal Hjh Taibah binti Hj Ahmad, who led the visitors on a tour of the school.
