Khatam & Donations At Jerudong Prison

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 100 personnel of Jerudong Prison attended a 'Khatam al-Quran' and donation presentation ceremony yesterday, at the prison surau.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.

Present as guest of honour was the Director of Prisons, Dato Paduka Hj Ahmad bin Hj Dullah. The Khatam al-Quran ceremony was led by Ustaz Hj Isa bin Hj Osman, Jerudong Prison Officer.

The event was followed with the handing over of donations to some eight orphans of former prison personnel. The donation came from contributions made by several prison personnel. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
