By Malai FadleyRizal

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 31 -year-old Malaysian was fined $500 or a month in jail in default after pleading guilty to entering the country illegally.

The court heard that Luke Padan Musa was arrested at the departure clearance booth at the Kuala Lurah Immigration Control Post on September 5 when officers checked that he had no endorsements in his passport saying he had entered the country legally.

The defendant told investigators that he entered the country on September I and produced his passport upon arrival.

Moreover, according to him, he left the country the next day for Kg Tedungan, Limbang and re-entered Brunei the same day without producing his passport for arrival clearance. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
