Duit Raya And Goodies For Orphans

Bandar Seri Begawan - The less fortunate and orphans are never forgotten during the holy month of Ramadhan and the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.

Yesterday 16 orphans from Kampung Sg Hanching and Kg Salambigar received Duit Raya, cakes and cookies as well as carton of soft drinks for their preparations for the festive session.

The donation was handed over by six generous donors, who are members of the Villages Consultative Councils of the two villages.

The presentation ceremony was held at the house of the Village Head of Kg Sg Hanching and Kg Salambigar, Awg Haji Nor Hashin bin Haji Noor in Kg Salambigar.

Awg Haji Nor Hashim said the donation was part of the annual activity of the villages to lessen the burden of the orphans during Hari Raya.

The event started with Tahlil prayers and ended with the breaking of fast by the orphans, their guardians and members of the Village Consultative Councils.
