RBAF Commander Hands Over Raya
Gifts To 3rd RBAF IMT Contingent

Begawan - The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces
(RBAF), Pehin Dato Major General Hj Awg Halbi, yesterday handed out
Raya gifts to 10 RBAF personnel who are currently on duty in Mindanao,
Philippines.
The 10 RBAF personnel are currently
on duty as the Team Site I (TSI) personnel in the 3''d Contingent of
the International Monitoring Team (IMT) in Mindanao.
The event was held at the residence
of the TSI RBAF IMT. Also in the delegation were Deputy Permanent
Secretary of Defence Hj Rashid bin Hj Abd Ra'hman and nine other
officers from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
As a token of appreciation, the RBAF
Commander presented Raya gifts to the Head of Mission IMT Malaysia
Major General Dato Md Ismail bin Ahmad Khan; Commanding General 61D
Brigadier General Nehimas Pajarito; Regimental Director PNP-PRO ARMM
PCJInsp Joel Goalito; Chairman GRPCCCH Brigadier Heneral Edgardo M.
Gurrea and Chairman MILF-CCCH Mr Von al-haq.
The Raya gifts, which contained
festive biscuits, dates, dried foods and Hari Raya cards, were
contributed by RBAF personnel, the Welfare Body of Wives of RBAF
Personnel (BAKTI) as well as families of the RBAF IMT - personnel.
Prior to presenting the gifts, the
delegation took a closer look at the new TSI RBAF IMT residence and
mingled with the TS 1 personnel as well as the special guests from the
Government of Philippines and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Later, the RBAF Commander and other
members of the delegation proceeded to the IMT headquarters to hear a
presentation on the development of IMT by the head of mission. -- Courtesy of Borneo
