Bandar Seri Begawan - The victim of a recent house fire drew sympathy from the Berakas Police District in the form of donations made during a presentation ceremony at the fire victim's temporary residence at No 234, Jln 77, RPN Kg Lambak Kanan.

On hand to present the donations to the victim on behalf of the Berakas Police District was Senior Inspector Pg Shaiful Rezal Malek Faesal bin Pg Hj Marali, the Officer in Charge of the Berakas Police Station.

Also present at the ceremony was P/Insp Hj Mohd Rabiul Shukreen, Investigating Officer of the Berakas Police District. The donations, which comprised cash as well as dry foods, were contributed by officers and staff of the Berakas Police District with the aim of lessening the burden faced by the victim especially with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

The victim was a family member of one of the Berakas Police District personnel.

The initiative is one ofthe welfare programmes organised by the Berakas Police District in giving assistance to any personnel or family members who are in need of such help. Recently, the Berakas Police District lent out a helping hand to clean a Muslim cemetery that had long been neglected at RPN Kg Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Berakas.
