NDP Forms 2 New Subdivisions At Lumapas, Sengkurong B

Bandar Seri Begawan - The National Development Party (NDP) formed two new subdivisions in the Brunei-Muara District Monday afternoon at Lumapas and Sengkurong B to facilitate the party in reaching out to its members at grassroots level.

Attended by about 50 members, the chief guest Haji Mohamad Penghulu Haji Abu Bakar reminded appointed committee members to work hard for the party.

"We want to present the nation to our future generation as an independent and sovereign country, which has been and will be forever ruled by His Majesty and his descendents.

"We must also work hard to improve the nation's standing in the international political arena to earn respect from global nations," he said.

The event was also attended by the party's vice president for BruneiMuara, Haji Umar Tamin.

The organising chairman, Dr Hajah Rayah Md Ali, urged members of the two subdivisions to be united to uphold the party's visions, missions and objectives towards the sovereignty of the ruler, race and country.

Hj Abd Kassim bin Hj Sapar has been elected as the Head of Lumapas subdivision with Hj MdYusof bin Hj Abd Latip as his deputy.

Pg Hj Abu Bakar bin Pg Dato Haji Muhammad and Dyg Susan Ameerah bte Abd Aziz were elected as the secretary and treasurer respectively.

Hj Rosli bin Hj Awg Besar has been elected as the Head of Sengkurong B subdivision with Hj Masri bin Hj Idris as his deputy. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
