Minister Of Religious Affairs Visits RIPAHS Mosque

Bandar Seri Begawan - A delegation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs led by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Dato Dr Ustaz Hj Awang Mohd Zain recently held a 'Tedarus', 'Khatam al-Quran' and `Tahlil' ceremony at the Raja Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Saleha (RIPAHS) Mosque in Rimba, Gadong.

Also present at the religious function were the ministry's Deputy Minister, Pehin Dato Ustaz Hj Badaruddin; Permanent Secretary Dato Hj Abd Rahman, Deputy Permanent Secretary Dato Hj Ishaaq, seniors officers from the ministry as well as the mosque's Takmir committee.

The ceremony commenced with a recital of 'al-Fatihah' by the Minister of Religious Affairs, followed by 'Tedrus', `Tahlil'and `Doa Arwah'.

The Minister of Religious Affairs also presented 'wakaf' (a special donation), which included a grass-cutting machine and a cleaning machines, to the mosque. It was received by Chief Imam Hj Mohd Afdzillah bin Hj Mohd Yussof.

The ceremony was to glorify the holy month of Ramadhan and to strengthen ties with residents in Kg Rimba.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
