$23,000 Donated To Orphans Fund

Bandar Seri Begawan - Donations amounting to $ 23,006.34 were presented yesterday to the Orphans Fund of Pengiran Muda-Al Muhtadee Billah during a ceremony held at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Main Office, Jln Kumbang Pasang.

On hand to receive the contributions was Dato Paduka Haji Ali Hashim bin-Haji Daud, CEO of Dana Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah.

Syarikat BR Oscar contributed $20,000 to the orphans fund. It was presented by Mr. Poh Seah Nam, Managing Director of Syarikat BR Oscar Group Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile, the Department of Technical Education, Ministry of Education represented by Awg Noorhaizam bin Haji Mosdi, Assistant Director of the Department of Technical Education, donated $1,876.34, which was part of the funds collected during a walkathon organised by the Department of Technical Education.

Also contributing to the orphans fund were Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (BLNG), Brunei Shell Tankers Sdn Bhd (BST) and Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd (BSM) who contributed a total of $1,130. Hj Abd Rahman Sirat, Operations Manager of Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd representing the four companies, handed over the donations.
