Salute To Two Heroes

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two heroic individuals received due recognition from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, for their act of bravery in saving two lives.

Awang Jofri bin Ibrahim and Awang Bakrin bin Mat Yassin received certificates of appreciation for their valiant acts from Pg Sabri bin Pengiran Hj Mohammad, Acting Director of Youth and Sports, at the 4th floor, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Awang Jofri saved a child from drowning at the Anggerak Desa swimming pool on August 13, 2006, while Awang Bakrin saved a person from drowning at Pusat Belia swimming pool two years ago.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
