Tedarus, Khatam Al-Quran Event At Kg Masin Mosque

Bandar Seri Begawan - In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan a tedarus and Khatam al-Quran event, together with a tahlil, doa arwah, donation and wakaf presentations were held yestersday at Kg Masin Mosque.

The event was organised by the village consultation of Kg Masin.

Present as the guest of honour was Dato Paduka Awg Hj Mohd Yusof bin Bakar, Brunei-Muara District Officer. Also in attendance was Pg Hj Yasmin bin Pg Hj Mohammad, Managing Director of Brunei Shell Marketing Co Sdn Bhd.

The event began with tedarus, as well as Khatam al-Quran, tahlil and doa arwah led by the Imam of Kg Masin Mosque.

Meanwhile, the presentation of donations to the orphans were delivered by the guest of honour, where 23 orphans received gifts from anonymous Muslim donors.

This was followed by a wakaf presentation of $2,000 cash for split unit air-condition by Pg Hj Yasmin, as well as various items such as 2,000 littre Water steel tank, 12 set ofAluminium wall, Mimbar steel fence and two sets of "Slodan" roof.

At the end of the function, a souvenir was also presented to the guest of honour by the Village Head. The event concluded with the breaking of fast. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
