Institute Tahfiz Holds Khatam

Bandar Seri Begawan - Institute Tahfiz AlQuran Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah recently held a Khatam al-Quran ceremony for the fourth time held at the institute.

Present at the ceremony as the guest of honour was Permanent Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah.

Some 36 student of Islamic Academic from Form One to Form Six from the institute, who have completed their 30 juz reading of the alQuran, took part in the ceremony.

The event began with reading of surah al-Fatihah, which was led by Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ishaaq, and was followed by the recital of doa Khatam Hifzil Quran.

The ceremony also saw the recitation of Marhaban, including certificate and souvenir presentations as well as "Menabur Bunga Rampai" ceremony led by the guest of honour. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
