Moh Donation To Orphans For Hari
Raya

Begawan - In a bid to lift the festive spirits of orphans in
the country, the Ministry of Health yesterday handed out cash
donations to 10 orphans during a ceremony held at the Pengiran Muda
Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji A1-Muhtadee Billah Hospital in Tutong.
The orphans - aged between four to 16
- received the donations from Minister of Health cum guest of honour
Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Paduka Haj i Suyoi bin Haji
Osman.
Thirteen-year-old Muhd Nuryatim bin
Ahmad, who resides with 15 siblings at Kg Perpindahan Telisai -
expressed his delight, saying he intends to buy himself a 'Baju Raya.'
Meanwhile, 14-year-old Mohd Faisal
binAbdul lah from Kg Sg Kelugos said he plans to use the money to
purchase school items and a 'Baju Raya.'
The recipients expressed their
gratitude to the Ministry of Health.
Earlier, a welcoming speech was
delivered by Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee
Billah Hospital Acting Chief Executive Officer Mohmad bin Haji Abd
Hamid.
In his speech he said, "We are
encouraged to do exemplary deeds and to aid those in need, especially
during the month of Ramadhan."
The day also saw an al-Quran
recitation delivered by Ministry of Health 2004 Qari Champion Haji
Wahab bin Haji Kassim.
Deputy Minister of Health Pehin Orang
Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Paduka Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah
and officials from the Ministry of Health were also present for the
