Kg Limau Manis Aids Orphans, Holds Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Takmir Committee members and residents of Kg Limau Manis held a Khatam al-Quran ceremony and presented donations to orphans at the village's mosque yesterday.

The guest of honour was BruneiMuara District Officer, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Md Yussof Bin Bakar. Also present were senior officers of the Prime Minister's Office, Penghulu, Village Chief and residents of the area.

Donations were presented to 11 orphans with each recipient receiving $13 8. The orphans come from the villages of Jalan Junjungan Limau Manis and Kuala Lurah. The donations came from a fund that was set up by the Limau Manis Mosque. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
