More Donations For Seria Fire Victim

Bandar Seri Begawan - More donations in the form of cash were contributed to a fire victim from Kampong Baru in Seria yesterday.

The Belait District Office donated $500 to Awang Abdul Wahab bin Junaidi to assist him in the preparation for the Hari Raya celebration.

The donation was presented by Belait District Officer, Awang Haji Mohamad bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

Awang Abdul Wahab's double storey house was ravaged in a fire in the early morning of September 19. The partly concrete house gutted by fire at Jalan Badas, Seria was rented out to contract workers. Two vehicles were also destroyed in the fire. No fatalities were reported.

Earlier this week, the fire victim also received a contribution of $800 from the Brunei Religious Council.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
