JTB Retirees Receive Their Certificates

Bandar Seri Begawan - A presentation of retirement certificates for former Jabatan Telekom Brunei (JTB) personnel in conjunction with the 13th Civil Service Day was held yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall of the Fire and Rescue Department Headquarters.

Present as the guest of honour and on hand to present the certificates was the Chief Director of Civil Service, Dato Paduka Hj Saifon bin Hj Awg Besar.

The event was held especially for former JTB personnel as a sign of appreciation and show of thanks for their services and contribution. About 680 civil service servants at JTB were retired from civil service and transferred to TelBru on April 1, 2006 under the Pension Provision Act 1957 Chapter 38, Section 6(d).

Some 667 people received their retirement certificates yesterday morning, with 44 people from Section II, 127 from Section III, 407 from Section IV and 89 from Section V.
