PDS Primary Students Get China's Education Through Art Accolade

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Association for Education Through Art, People's Republic of China recently awarded nine students from PDS Primary School with prizes and certificates.

Among the students recognised for their artworks were Dk Nurjazilah Hafizah Pg Harun Amir Rashid for "Hari Raya Celebration", Nur Hasibah Syazwina bte Ainu Bahrin for "Brunei - Peaceful Country", Nur Afiqah bte Raya (Underwater World), Cynthia Wong Sing Yie (Fishing in the Sea), Fathin Nurafiqah bte'Othman (Happy Sailing in Kampong Ayer), Md Arif Fakhrullah (I Love the Beach), Mohd Firdaus Hj Jais (Water Village) and Perry Thee Chin Hon (The Boatmen).

The entries were carefully selected by a panel of 31 art educators from China. The artwork produced by the PDS School participants depict the life and culture of Brunei Darussalam. They were displayed at the 37`h World Children's Art Exhibition from September 1 till 30 in Taipei.

The event was aimed at promoting mutual understanding and friendship amongst the younger generation of the world through the exchange of children's artworks.
