Info Dept Receives Visit From UBD's Rakis Club

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 400-member delegation from the UBD Student Representative Council's Rakis Club recently paid a visit to the Information Department; Prime Minister's Office, Old Airport in Berakas.

The visitors were led by Hj Johar Hj Jumaat, the Rakis Club's Deputy Chairman.

They were briefed by Wahid Hj Halim, the Acting Head of Community Relations, on the Pentarama Unit, the department's structure and role in disseminating information that are of quality, with the purpose of strengthening the nation's unity and harmony,

According to Wahid, a Pentarama performance, which contains drama, comedy, song and dance, prologue, and a quiz with the audience, is always accompanied from the start by a musical band.

The delegates also had an opportunity to meet and greet with the Acting Director of Information, Hj Amer Hamzah Pehin Dato Seri Setia Hj Zakaria, which was later followed by a question-and-answer session.

Towards the end, the Acting Director also presented a souvenir of memorabilia to the head of delegation.

The Rakis Club is a local association that actively participates in the field of art, especially stage performances. The trip aimed to expose its new working committee members for more knowledge and experience.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
