Appreciation Dinner For Indofood
‘Scratch & Win' Promotion

Begawan - An appreciation dinner and awards ceremony for the
Indofood `Scratch & Win' trade display competition was held at Dynasty
Restaurant in Gadong on Saturday
The guest of honour was Dato FIj Mohd
Hamid bin Hj Mohd Jaafar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of
Industry and Primary Resources.
Among those who attended the ceremony
were Mr Bambang Soendoro, Indofood Head of Business Development; Mr Lo
Eng Chang of LEC Hanaf ah Import & Export (the sole importer of
Indofood noodles); as well as Pg Hj Mohd Aliahanafiah and Mr Lau Chai
Seng of Syarikat Aliaa Sdn Bhd (the sole distributor of Indofood
noodles).
Representatives of major partners of
the Indofood `Scratch & Win' promotion were also present.

Bank was represented by Senior Deputy Manager Mr Raymond B uriuo and
Deputy General Manager Mr Ti Eng Hui. Panacom was represented by its
manager, Angus Neo, while b-mobile was represented by CEO Mr Song Kin
Koi and Terry Chong, the general manager of finance. Jason Tee of
Sunlit Advertising was also present.
According to Mr Soendoro, Indofood is
a well diversified and integrated food and beverages company with
annual sales of about US$2 billion. Thee company exports its halal
products to more than 50 countries.
He also congratulated LEC Hanafiah
Import & Export and Syarikat Aliaa Sdn Bhd for achieving the milestone
of selling 250 million packets of Indofood instant noodles to the
Brunei market since 1988.
The highlight of the ceremony was the
presentation of donations to the Pg Muda Mahkota Al -Muhtadee Billah
Orphans Fund (Dana) and the National Orphans Fund.
Mr
Lo Eng Chang of LEC Hanafiah Import & Export presented $3,000 to Hj
Puasa Hj Jumat, assistant managing director of Yayasan Foundation, who
received the cheque on behalf of the Pg Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee
Billah Orphans Fund.
Meanwhile, Pg Hj MohdAliahanafiah
presented $3,000 to Awang Husaini bin Abdullah, assistant director of
JAPEM, who received the cheque on hehalfof the National Orphans Fund.
During the dinner, prizes were
presented to the winners of the Indofood `Scratch & Win' trade display
competition.
In the upper trade display category,
Teguh Raya Department Store (Tutong) was ranked first, while Pertama
Dept Store (Jerudong) and First Emporium (Seri branch) came in second.
In third place were SupaSave (Gadong) and Utama Grand.
In the lower trade category, first
place went to Ajmir Supermarket (Sengkurong), while National Inn and
Derimba Department Store were ranked second and third respectively.
