Putting A Smile On Faces Of Mukim, Sengkurong's Orphans

Bandar Seri Begawan - Donations were presented to some 40 orphans from Mukim Sengkurong during a ceremony held at Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong yesterday.

The event was organised by the mosque's Takmir committee members.

The donations that came from the public were handed over by the guest of honour, Dato Awg Hj Ali Hashim bin Hj Mohd Daud, who is the managing director of Yayasan Foundation.

Seven of the orphans were from TanjungNangka, 13 from SengkurongA and 21 from Sengkurong B.

There were also other religious ceremonies including a 'Tahlil', Doa Arwah and mass Magrib prayers. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
