Books Donated To Chinese Schools In Belait

Bandar Seri Begawan - To encourage reading amongst students, the Bandar Seri Begawan and Belait Rotary Club jointly contributed 14 boxes of Chinese educational books to all Chinese schools in Belait District yesterday.

The two Rotary Clubs delivered the boxes of Chinese books to Chung Lin Sungai Liang School, Chung Hua Labi School, Chung Ching Middle School Seria and Chung Hua KB School.

On hand to present the books on behalf of Rotary Club Bandar Seri Begawan were its President, Mr Albert Tan, and Community Service Director, Ricky Ng. While presenting the books on behalf of Rotary Club Belait were Rotarian Grace Chin and District Assistant Governor, Toh Fui Ming.

In mid September this year, Bruneians were urged to develop a better- reading culture with the Ministry of Education launching its Reading Carnival.
