NDP Submits Party Manifesto To
Police Commissioner

Begawan - The National Development Party (NDP) submitted its
party manifesto and report of the party's first congress to
Commissioner of Police, Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Awang Zainuddin bin
Jailani, at the Royal Brunei Police Forces Headquarters in Gadong,
Saturday morning.
The NDP delegation comprised Mahmud
Morshidi Othman, NDP Deputy President; Haji Aminorashid Hj Ghazali,
NDP Secretary General Haji Mohiddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman,
NDP Deputy Secretary General; Haji Majid Hj Abd Hamid, NDP Working
Secretary; Awang Haji Matzin, NDP Head of Information; Haji Khalid Hj
Ghazali, NDP Treasurer General;- and Malai HassanOthman, NDP Chairman
of International Relation and Peace.
Pehin
Dato Zainuddin reminded NDP leaders to ensure all party actions and
activities were in line with the 2005 Society Act of Brunei
Darussalam.
"Political parties are allowed to
exist in this country and the Registrar of Societies (ROS) will
continue to give cooperation to facilitate political parties in
conducting political activities.
"ROS will continue to monitor the
activities and movements of political parties to ensure they do not go
against the law.
"Therefore we hope political parties
will continue to give their cooperation by ensuring party activities
and movements are in accordance with stipulated regulations," he said.
The deputy president of NDP Mahmud
Morshidi also handed over copies of the party's constitutions in
English, Chinese and Arabic language to the police commissioner.
