MOE Awards Teacher's Day Quiz Winners & Sponsors

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 100 winners of the 16`h Teacher's Day quizzes took home their prizes yesterday morning, in a prize and souvenir presentation ceremony held at the auditorium of the Seri Begawan Religious Teacher's College in Jalan Tutong.

The quiz received encouraging response from the public, as could be seen through the increase in the number of participants.

The guest of honour at the ceremony who gave away the prizes and souvenirs was Dyg Hjh Norjum bte Hj Yusop, the Director General of Education, Ministry of Education.

The quiz was organised by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in conjunction with the 16th Teacher's Day celebrations. The theme of the event was "Quality teachers increase national competitiveness". Also present at yesterday's ceremony were sponsors, senior officers from the Ministry of Education and invited guests.

Prior to the prize presentation tokens of appreciation were presented to companies and individuals that had sponsored the quiz.

The organisers of the ',;Teacher's Day quizzes attributed their success largely to the support of BLNG, Strongmind Sdn Bhd, RTB, Milimewah Super Store, Borneo Bulletin, Media Permata, Pelita Brunei, Radio Brunei, PDS School, Adison Marketing Services, Court Furnishing Co Sdn Bhd, Maju Motors, Multitrons Sdn Bhd and the Royal Brunei Police Force.'  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
