Women Association Hold ‘Tahlil’ Thanksgiving

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 400 people from 12 associations took part in a 'Tahlil' and thanksgiving ceremony at the Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kiarong yesterday.

The religious event, which was organised by the Women Association of Brunei Darussalam, was led by the guest of honour, Datin Hjh Fatimah binti Dato Abang Hj Razali, the president of the association.

Sixty people from the Nursing Association were also invited to take part in the ceremony.

The ‘Tahlil' was read by Siti binti Sabtu from the Mosque Affairs Department, Minstry of Religious Affairs. At the end of the ceremony, the women had dinner to break their fast and conducted 'Maghrib' prayers. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
