Raya Cheers For 41 Orphans

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sekolah Menengah Awang Semaun recently handed out cash donations to 41 of its student orphans during a ceremony held at the school hall.

On hand to present the donations were Principal Chong Li Chen and Deputy Principal Jalil bin Pengarah Hj Kapitan.

The ceremony is organised annually during the month of Ramadhan. The donations came from the pockets of the students, teachers, clerks, technicians and librarians of the school.

The event aims to bring attention to the orphans, while simultaneously lifting the Raya mood of the orphans. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
