Ministry Pays Respects To Sultan's Late Parents

Bandar Seri Begawan - Personnel from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the departments under it yesterday performed a 'tahlil' ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong.

The ceremony was held in honour of His Majesty's late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Darnit.

Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Dato Awang Haji Adanan led the entourage of over 300 personnel from the District Offices of all four districts, Municipal Board Offices, Labour Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Brunei Fire and Rescue Services and Prisons Department.

Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Dato Paduka Haji Awang Dani and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Dato PadukaAwang Haji Idris.

A similar ceremony was also held yesterday by 100 personnel from the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
