Engine Thief Thrown Behind Bars

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Malaysian man received a one-month jail sentence after he pleaded- guilty to stealing a motorboat engine before the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Daud bin Mumin, 43, stole a 15horsepower engine from a boat at Kg Ujung Jalan, Puni in Temburong in April with an accomplice.

The court was told that he had managed to bring it back to his house in Limbar g, Sarawak. However, the Temburong Police personnel managed to retrieve the stolen engine.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
