Halal Meat Inspection On Ramadhan Stalls

Bandar Seri Begawan - Officers from the Food Control for Halal Food Division of the Syariah Affairs Department inspected the Ramadhan stalls in front of the Royal Regalia in the capital yesterday.

Twenty one stalls were inspected to identify and ensure vendors are buying meat from suppliers certified as `Halal,' the officers said. Vendors need to obtain their meat supplies from certified suppliers.

All vendors at the Ramadhan stalls were found to have complied with the rules and regulations, said Haji Sijun Bin Haji Sabtu, Assistant Investigation Officer from the Food Control for Halal Food Division of the Syariah Affairs Department.

Inspections on other Ramadhan stalls will continue during the fasting month, Haji Sijun said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
