Court Remands Woman Found With Bullet

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Filipino woman was ordered remanded by the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday for further investigation to be conducted on allegations that she had in her possession an unlicensed bullet.

Riza Tan Manuel, 26, was charged with having the ammunition without a licence issued by the licensing officer on October 4, in the vicinity of the Departure Hall, Brunei International Airport.

It is an offence punishable under Rule 17(1) of the Arms and Explosives Rules of the Arms and Explosive Act, Chapter 58, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than five years and not more than 15 years if convicted.
