BAE Systems Makes Donation To
Unicef Challenge

Begawan - BAE Systems yesterday handed $2,500 in donation to
Sheraton Utama Hotel's Unicef Challenge 2006.
On hand to present the cheque to
Sheraton Utama Hotel general manager Datin Hjh Zainah Bujang was BAE
Systems vice president Michael Bentinck.
Also in attendance to witness the
handover were Unicef ambassador to Sheraton Utama Hotel- Jenny Jee and
the hotel's Unicef committee members.
A portion of the contribution will be
used to produce $1,500 worth of Unicef Challenge t-shirts, which will
be available for sale to members of the public starting October 1 at
the hotel lobby. All proceeds from the sale will be directed to be
Unicef Challenge fund.
"BAE Systems, as a responsible
defence company, supports communities and charities in the countries
where we operate, through donations of cash, practical support,
materials and equipment for the benefit of the community.
We are once again delighted to
contribute to, and provide our support for such a worthy cause that
benefits many needy children around the world. I would like to
personally wish the Unicef Challenge 2006 team a great success," said
Bentinck yesterday.
Meanwhile, as part of its fundraising
campaign for Unicef, Sheraton Utama Hotel will hold a night car boot
sale tomorrow at its parking lot. For more information, contact the
