Ministries, UBD Hold Prayers At Royal Mausoleum

Bandar Seri Begawan - Personnel from the Ministry of Communications yesterday held a 'tahlil' ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong.

The ceremony was held in honour of His Majesty's late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji OmarAli Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anal, Damit.

Present for the tahlil recital were 150 officers from the ministry and the departments under it.

Also in attendance were Minister of Communications Pehin Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Abu Bakar Haji Apong, Deputy Communications Minister Dato Paduka Yusoff bin Hj Abdul Hamid, and Acting Permanent Secretary Pengiran I-Ij Mohd Yakup bin Pengiran Hj Othman.

Later in the day, a similar ceremony was held by personnel from the Ministry of Education and Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Present for the tahlil recitation were Minister of Education Pehin Dato Seri Setia Haj i Abdul Rahman bin Hj Mohamad Taib, UBD Vice Chancellor Dr Hj Ismail bin Hj Duraman together with 100 personnel

Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Pengiran Hj Abdul Rahman, Permanent Secretary Dato Paduka Hj Sheikh Adnan Sheikh Mohamad and Deputy Permanent Secretary Hj Mohd Daud Hj Mahmud.
