Bandar Seri
Begawan - Kind-hearted individuals continue to make donations
to victims of the Yogyakarta earthquake, which affected a great number
of Indonesians when it struck five months ago.
Working towards this, representatives
from PEKIRA (Former Government Employees Association) recently paid a
visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to hand over a
donation, which will be used to aid the quake victims.
The PEKIRA representatives were led
by Pg Dato Paduka Hj Jaludin bin Pg Mohd Limbang, the former Brunei
Ambassador to Indonesia.
On hand to receive the $670 donation
was Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Mr Herijanto Soeprapto,
who was accompanied by Indonesian Embassy Minister Counsellor Nazirwan
Hafiz.
Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei
Darussalam Herijanto Soeprapto said that the donations - made in any
form or amount - reflect the sympathy and concern of the nation
towards the quake victims.
