Extending A Helping Hand To Fire Victims

Bandar Seri Begawan - The plight of a family whose house was recently gutted by fire has generated sympathy from members of the public, some of whom have stepped forward to lend a helping hand.

The home of Hajah Nafisah Mat Salleh was reduced to ashes on October 1.

In a bid to lessen the burden of the family, a cash donation was yesterday made by Syarikat Pembangunan Makmor Jaya Manager William Ngui to a representative, Menuddin Md Daud, the owner of Zudin Sports and Event Management.

"The cash donation will be used to purchase daily necessities, which will then be delivered to the family of Hajah Nafisah.

"This is in hopes of enlivening their upcoming Hari Raya celebration," Menuddin said. After learning of their misfortune, Mr Ngui said he was prompted to make some donations to help the family in distress.
