Body Of Missing Woman Found

Tutong - The body of a 35-year-old woman, who was reported missing after falling off a boat into the Tutong-River, was found yesterday by the rescue and diving unit at 6.25am.

The body was found floating a kilometre away from the scene of the mishap.

According to Inspector Hj Wahab, a Diving Officer from the Marine Police, Tuesday afternoon the operation was focused on diving near the scene where the woman reportedly fell off the boat.

From Tuesday night until dawn, the personnel scanned the surface when the body was eventually found. Eight personnel from the Marine Police were involved in the operation. The body was taken to the Tutong Hospital.

The incident involved seven foreign nationals comprising five women, a male driver and a four-year-old boy. The boy was not driving the boat as reported in yesterday's news. The police are investigating the incident.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
