Belait Ramadhan Stall Operators Receive Free Aprons From Nestle

Bandar Seri Begawan - In an effort to promote cleanliness and hygiene among food handlers at Ramadhan stalls in the Belait District, 220 aprons were distributed to stall operators at Tudong Saji Ramadhan stalls, contributed by Nestle Product Sdn Bhd and Nestle Local Distribution Grand Top Enterprise.

This apron distribution programme is the first joint cooperation between Nestle and Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Department.

Awg Mohd Ismail bin Osman, Area Business Manager, said the contribution was made with the objective of promoting the habit of prioritising cleanliness among stall operators while carrying out their businesses of food preparations for members of the public.

Apart from that, the presentation was also held to enliven the atmosphere by having stall operators putting on the free `Maggie' apron.

The contribution also marked an important role of the private sector in giving cooperation and supporting the government's aspiration in prioritising cleanliness within the business environment.

Also present during the contribution were Pengiran Haj i MohdAli bin Pengiran Haji Othman, Chairman of KB and Seria Municipal Board, and Local Distributor Nestle Manager as well as officials from the KB Municipal Department.

To add colour to the Tudong Saji Ramadhan stalls, Nestle also contributed banners, which are hung around the tents. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
