Ministry, Holds Tedarus Event

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Prime Minister's Office and all the departments under it yesterday afternoon held a "Tedarus al-Quran" event at Kg Rimba Mosque in Kg Rimba.

Present as guest of honour at the event was Pehin-Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri PadukaAwang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the Minister of Energy.

Pehin Dato Kerma Setia CP Dato Paduka Haji Zaniddin bin Jalani, Commissioner Police of Royal Brunei Police Force, and Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, as well as officers from government agencies and delegates from Kg Perpindahan Rimba were also among those present at the event.

The event commenced with the reading of surah al-Fatihah led by the mosque's Imam, Hj Mohd Afzillah. The function also saw a wakaf presentation by the guest of honour to the Imam of Kg Rimba Mosque. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
