Bandar Seri
Begawan - In conjunction with the 13th Civil Service Day, 12
ministries are currently taking part in a `Mini Exhibition' at the
lobby of the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
The exhibition, which will end today,
is in line with the this year's theme, "A Customer-Friendly Public
Service" (Perkhidmatan Awam Mesra Pelanggan).
Civil Service personnel and the
public can learn more about the customer-oriented services of the
ministries and the departments under them including the Ministry of
Health, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of
Development and Prime Minister's Office.
As part of last Saturday's main
celebration, the mini exhibition was visited by the guest of honour,
His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and
Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.
At the exhibition, ministries as well
as the departments under them will be able to see how their current
services are perceived by the public through surveys.
Brunei's Civil Service Day falls on
September 29 annually to commemorate the day the Sultanate's first
written constitution was created. However, this year's celebration was
pushed to September 30 due to Ramadhan.
Today is the last day of the
exhibition and is open from 10am to 2pm. -- Courtesy of Borneo
