Speech Contest Winner Off To Japan

Bandar Seri Begawan - The first prize winner in the Advanced Level category of the 20th Japanese Speech Contest, Miss Lina Salwana, left Brunei Darussalam for Japan on Sunday.

Ms Lina Salwana has joined winners of Japanese speech contests from other Asean countries to deliver their winning speeches.

She will also visit several places of interest while in Japan including the Nikko, Asakusa and Tokyo Disneyland.

Present to see off Ms Lina Salwana before she left for Japan at the Brunei International Airport were Mr Hiroshi Okouchi, 2nd Secretary at the Japanese Embassy, and Ms Minako Keaney, UBD Japanese language lecturer. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
