Royal Messages For Republic Of
Korea And Germany

Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to President
Roh Moo-hyun of the Republic of Korea and Prime Minister Han
Myung-sook of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of the National
Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea.
His Majesty expressed his
gratification with the warm and friendly relations and deep
understanding between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea. His
Majesty hoped that this would be maintained and widened in the years
ahead for the good of the two countries and peoples.
His Majesty hoped that the Republic
of Korea's President and Prime Minister would remain in good health
and happiness, and for the people of the Republic of Korea to enjoy
continued progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, His Majesty consented to
send congratulatory messages to President Horst Kohler of Germany and
Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany on the occasion of the anniversary
of the Reunification of Germany.
His Majesty expressed his
gratification with the warm and friendly relations and deep
understanding between Brunei Darussalam and Germany. His Majesty hoped
that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good
of the two countries and peoples.
His Majesty hoped that Germany's
President and Chancellor would remain in good health and happiness,
and for the people of Germany to enjoy continued progress and
prosperity.
Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah,
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a message to his Republic
of Korea counterpart, Ban Ki-Moon.
His Royal Highness said, "I have
enjoyed working with you during the past year and I am very pleased
that the long-standing friendship between our countries has grown
stronger over the years.
"Brunei Darussalam attaches great
importance to its cooperation with the Republic of Korea, both
bilaterally and regionally, and I look forward to continuing our work
to enhanced these much-valued relations.
Meanwhile, in his message to Federal
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, His
Royal Highness said, "I much appreciate the cooperation and friendship
enjoyed by our countries and look forward to continuing to strengthen
our much valued-relation in the coming year."
