Strong Turnout At SCB Seminar
Signals Positive Change
By Kartika Rahman
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) continues to make a
difference in the approach to savings by educating the public on
better wealth management and assessing them on plans for their
financial future.
In line with this, SCB Saturday held
two Wealth Management Seminars - one at the Sheraton Utama Hotel, the
other at Oil & Gas Discovery Centre in Seria.
The positive turnout signals what
could be the beginning of a change in mindset among the people here,
with individuals now looking at their options to saving and planning
for their future.
"Standard Chartered Bank has been
very proactive with its saving programmes. This year alone I have
already attended a few of its Wealth Management Seminars," said an
attendee:
"The seminars are always conducted in
layman's term. This helps to give us a greater understanding of their
products - whether it be investments or the value of savings," he
added.
At the most recent seminar, SCB
invited a guest speaker from Singapore - Joni Tan from UOB Asset
Management (Singapore) to talk about their Growth Path and Global
Healthcare funds.
Also on hand to speak about the SCB
Wealth Management Unit Trust and Premium Currency Investment products
was James Tan, the Wealth Management Business Manager of Standard
Chartered Bank.
Aiming to make a difference, SCB will
continue to look for more opportunities in the future to give back to
the community, which is in line with its promise of being the ‘right
partner.' For farther enquiries, the bank can be contacted at 2656000.
