Pilihan Network to greet festivi ies with Raya programmes

Bandar Seri Begawan - Pilihan Network of Radio Brunei will air special programmes to mark Hari RayaAidilfitri.

Apart from broadcasting for 24 hours during the festive period, Pilihan DJs will help usher in the Raya mood by playing Raya tracks and taking in calls of dedication.

On the first of Syawal at 11 am, DJ Frankie compiles Pilihan's very own game. show at its best in "The Best of Guess What".

Then at 1.15 pm on the same day, Pilihan DJs will. showcase their talents in singing where listeners can expect to hear from Johnny `Spears', Yasmoon 'McIntyre', Richard `Keys' and making their own debut are the Black Eyed DJs.

In the evening, a programme under the MoU between Brunei and Malaysia called Titian Senada Aidilfitri edition will be aired where DJ Reza of Pilihan and DJ Patrick of Traxxfm will chat on Raya festivities in both countries.

On the second day of Syawal, students of the UBD Students Council will chat on Ramadhan practices, Raya preparations as well as the joy and childhood memories of Aidilfitri on "Aidilfitri Chatterbox" to be aired on 11 am.

This is followed by "Raya with the Biz Com" where the business communities in Brunei convey Raya greetings and messages.

On the third day of Syawal, join DJ Yasmoon for "Festive Cuisines" at 11 am where listeners can learn more about festive recipes from the Asean countries.

After the main hews at 1 pm, listeners can tune in to "Raya With Talentime Stars" where past winners of the Pilihan-Akira Talentime singing contest will belt out Raya tunes and current hits.

On the fourth of Syawal, students of the Sports School of the Co-Curriculum Department will try and outwit each other in a general knowledge quiz chaired by DJ Enny in "School To School Aidilfitri Special".

This is followed by "School To School @ Menjejak Kampong: Mukim Kilanas" where Paul Walsh, former presenter of the award winning programme, School To School in Australia flew in to talk to a few students of the Pg Dato Sharifuddin (PDS) School in Mukim Kilanas during the recent RTB Menjejak Kampung project.

Then later at 1.15 pm, "Raya With Their Excellencies" programme, a long-running tradition on Pilihan, will be aired where heads of foreign embassies and missions based in Brunei convey their Raya greetings and messages.
