Bandar Seri Begawan - Eighty-year-old fisherman, Hj Ibrahim bin Mail who went missing on Saturday, is now back and safe in Brunei.

Hj Ibrahim was found in Pulau Papan near Labuan by villagers on October 24 at about 7pm. According to one of Hj Ibrahim's sons, he was told that his father was found clinging to his overturned boat.

Villagers who found Hj Ibrahim first brought him back home and helped him but he was very weak. The villagers then informed the police who later brought him to a hospital.

Hj Ibrahim was already reported missing by his family members and an announcement had been made on television and in the newspapers.

Labuan police then informed the Central Police Station in Brunei. Hj Ibrahim family received information on his whereabouts at about 9pm from the police here.

Some family members quickly went to Labuan to see Hj Ibrahim and were told by doctors that he was suffering from complications in his lungs and kidneys due to severe dehydration.

Yesterday, Hj Ibrahim was brought back to Brunei using a helicopter from the Royal Brunei Air Force. He was then brought directly to RIPAS Hospital and given further treatment at the Intensive Care Unit.
