Royal Brunei Armed Forces recently hosted a friendly gathering
attended by more than 50 people, as stated in a press release.
The event was held at the newly
established Counselling Centre of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces,
situated in Bolkiah Garrison.
The event was held in conjunction
with the 14th anniversary of the RBAF's Support Services, which fell
on October 1.
It was also jointly held for the
purpose of introducing the Counselling Centre to BAKTI members, which
is the Royal Brunei Aimed Forces Wives' Association and to make them
aware of the services available to them within the Centre.
Guests of honour present at the
gathering included Datin Hjh Kalshom binti Hj Suhaili, wife of the
Commander of RBAF, Pg Hjh Jamilah Pg Md Yussof, wife of the Permanent

any of the activities organised by the association.
She further acknowledged the
uniqueness of BAKTI being an organisation where not only do they
nurture such deep friendships and respects within the group for long
periods of time, but requires them to have a profound understanding of
their husband's career.
This was then followed with a speech
by Major Hj Kassim Hj Md Yusof, Head of the Counselling Centre who
focused on the role, responsibilities and organisation of the
Counselling Centre, in particular the type of counselling services
they offer.

sessions cover a range of issues such as specialised rehabilitative
programmes including disciplinary and stress management.
The Counselling Centre was officially
opened on May 31, 2004. This initiative by the RBAF clearly reflects
its commitment to consistently improve its services, especially in
promoting awareness of the roles and responsibilities of being an RBAF
