Indonesian Cultural Show Boosts Brunei Ties

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Seni Budaya Yayasan Sanggar Seni Tari Melayu Kota Tanjung Pinang, Riau Indonesia with the cooperation of the Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry and the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam held a cultural performance at Dewan Raya RTB last Saturday night.

The guest of hounour was Dato Paduka Hj Yakub bin Awg Abu Bakar, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also present was senior officers from the ministry and other guests.

The performance was held to strengthen the two countries' ties in terms of culture. Among the dances performed were Zapin Laba Laba, Zapin Serampit, Zapin Tempurong, Zapin Chawai, Zapin Tumbang, Senandung Kipas, Joget Hitam Manis, Tari Piring, Persembahan Makan Sireh, Zapin Salamat Min Bait and Joget Seri Tambak.
