Pengiran Anak Sarah Leads Queen's Baton Relay

Begawan - Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri
Pengiran Anak Sarah was among the hundreds of runners who took part in
the 18th Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay yesterday, which
completed its two-days run in the country at the Hassanal Bolkiah
National Stadium with the last runner handing over the Queen's Baton
to the president of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council,
HRH Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, before the Queen's Baton makes its way to
its next destination, Singapore.

Yesterday's relay run began early
morning at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong, as the
runners made their way to the destination at the Budiman Walk of
the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, via Jalan Lebuhraya Tutong,
Jalan Jerudong, Jalan Tutong, Jalan Stoney, Jalan McArthur, Jalan
Sungai Kianggeh, Jalan Tasek Lama, Jalan Sekolah, Jalan Kumbang
Pasang and Jalan Berakas.
After receiving the Queen's
Baton, HRH Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah then handed it over to the High
Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, Mr VP Hirubalan,
who received the baton on behalf of his country.
The prince later presented
souvenirs to the 18th Commonwealth Games Melbourne 2006, Adam
West, and to a representative of the Commonwealth Games
Federation, Datuk Dr M. Jegathesan.
